Peace readers,
I had a GROOVY Time today at Woofstock 09 at Johnson Park in Rocklin.
There were a lot of really Cool Cats (not really cats) I got a chance to meet Brewster, he is the nephew of the late Gibson (the world's tallest dog) Man I have to say he made me look like a teacup. I also got to meet Pabst he holds the title of the world's ugliest dog. I personally didn't find him that unattractive he has an under bite, but so do I.
They had great music playing, Via a band the Hop heads, and radio 92.1 KHITS. I met a lot of really great dogs and their people. Check out my pictures....
the Volunteers were really in the spirit of the event and kept everything running smoothly and fun.The day was all about fun, they had events that everyone could participate in and booths with every conceivable item a dog could need or want. Like I said it was a great day.
The best part is the proceeds went to some really great organizations. Greater California German Shepherd Rescue, Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue, A chance for Bliss ( they care for special needs animals), and A New Hope Animal Foundation (they help make shelter animals more adoptable) All of these organizations do their best to help improve dogs lives. To them I give a BIG Paw Peace sign... for all their hard and caring work.
Some of the wonderful Sponsors that helped put on today's event were SACPAWS.com, 92.1 KHITS, PETCO, K9 Grass, Whole Foods Market, these are just a couple of the wonderful sponsors.
I came dressed in my finest Hippie Wear ready to feel the love, which I did.
If you missed this Woofstock another one is around the corner up in El Dorado Hills, Check out the events section of SacPaws for more info.
So to all the wonderful people I met today, and to the wonderful volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and organizations striving to make our lives better...
I say to you Love, Peace, and Frito Feet....
Cheers from the dog with ears...
